Product Description

The leaves have it, in this delightful crescent-shaped shawl.
The Leafwise Shawl enlarges the crescent shape into a wrap silhouette with a charming double-wide beaded swath of leaf lace motifs.
There are three sections: the wide lace edging, the stockinette stitch center that shapes the crescent, and a clever tubular edge on top. The shawl is worked from side to side.
Beads are placed with the add-as-you-go crochet hook method.
Bead requirements: Size 6/0 seed beads, 390 (510) for size small (large).
Dianella requires 1-2 skeins yards of fingering weight yarn (for small or large). Hazel Knits recommends: Artisan Sock, Entice MCN, Divine or Piquant Lite, each of which has 400 yards. You can find those yarns here.
Gauge is 24 stitches over 4 inches, BEFORE BLOCKING and 20 stitches over 4 inches AFTER BLOCKING (in stockinette).
Additional materials:
- US 5 (4.5mm) 24-inch circular needle
- Seed beads, size 8.0 - 390 for small, 510 for large. Be sure to purchase more beads than you think you will need.
- Steel crochet hook .75-9mm for placing the beads
- Stitch markers
