Hazel Knits Open House!

Posted by

hazel knits is hosting it's first ever studio open house the first weekend in November. This is the largest selection of hazel knits yarn you'll find anywhere, all in one place! Come on over to see our new Rebecca Danger Happy Art swag and our custom stitch markers by A Needle Runs Through it Shop. Get the very first public peek (and yarn tasting) of our brand new fingering-weight base, Blueprint. We hope to see you at the studio!

We are located directly across the street from Honda / Toyota of Seattle. Our building is black with white trim and has large front windows - we are the front door.

We have a small parking lot on the side of our building (Plum Street). There is perpendicular parking against our building (black building) and along the dead end. We MAY have permission to park in the adjacent lot that weekend, however we won't know until then, due to the adjacent business' workload.

If our lot is full, there is street parking one block south on HILL, WALKER, and S. COLLEGE  streets. We also have permission to park in the DeWalt service center lot, as well as the Metro Auto Rebuild lot.

Please do not block any garage doors, driveways or places that have towing signs. Also, please place any valuables or bags (even knitting!) or anything else that might look appealing in your trunk, BEFORE you arrive.

Note - we are near the stadiums and there is a Seahawks game on Sunday. It won't affect our parking situation, however traffic on the freeways might be a little heavy mid-morning.

Other things to do nearby:

Groove City Grind - coffee with space to knit and hang with friends - 3100 Airport Way S.

Macrina Bakery - delicious pastries, coffee, sandos, etc. - 1943 1st Ave S.

Paseo Cuban Sandwiches - a few years back, many folks in Seattle collectively lost their minds when Paseo announced it's closing. Fortunately the restaurant was saved and a SoDO location was added. - 1760 1st Ave. S.

Filson - women and men's clothes made right here in Seattle, WA. It's not inexpensive, however it is truly local. - 1741 1st. Ave. S.

Georgetown Corridor - culinary delights abound! Airport Way S., towards Boeing Field

Local folks, if you have any suggestions of other things you like to do in the area that I should add to this list, please give me a holler at wendee@hazelknits.com so I can help spread the word.
