Iris Hat Set - Dawn Patrol with In the Clover (pattern available separately)

The Iris hat is knitted with two strands of yarn and the brim is folded triple for extra warmth and coziness during the winter months. Combining a strand of silk-mohair knitted together with a fingering weight merino yarn makes the hat really soft and gives it a beautiful halo.

This set includes:

• 1 - 400 yard skein Divine, color: Dawn Patrol
• 1 - 350 yard skein AeroMo, color: In the Clover
• Skeins are twisted together, but come apart when untwisted.

Pattern Info:

Size:
One size, women’s medium. The size and length of the hat are easily adjustable.
To fit head circumference: 53-58.5 cm / 21-23 inches
Total length (with folded brim): 22 cm / 8.5 inches
Total length (with brim unfolded): 37 cm / 14.5 inches

Needles:
3.25 mm / US 3 DPNs or circular needle for Magic Loop knitting for the top of the hat
3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle with a cable of 40 cm / 16” for the main part

Gauge:
26 sts and 37 rounds = 10 cm over 1x1 ribbing on in the round holding both yarns together, after blocking, slightly stretched. Always use the needle size that gives you the right gauge!

Yarn Specifications (in regular size skeins)

Knitting with Divine is a heavenly treat. The merino gives this yarn nice substance, while the cashmere and silk make it a luxe experience. This fingering weight yarn has wonderful drape for shawls and scarves, while maintaining stitch definition for textured patterns.

• 75% superwash merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk
• 400 yards (115 grams) (skeins put up by yardage, weight may have slight variance.)

Gauge:

8-9 stitches per inch (32-36 stitches = 4") for socks. Up to 6 stitches per inch (24 stitches = 4") for garments and other accessories. Use appropriate needles size to get your gauge.

Recommended care:

Hand launder with a gentle soap for woolens. Lay flat to dry. Even though this yarn has a high superwash merino content, we do not recommend machine washing or drying.
