THIS IS FOR A HARDCOPY OF THE PATTERN TO BE SENT VIA MAIL.
An ancient Greek goddess of the sea, Eurybia controlled the winds that whipped the waves. Those waves are highlighted in this lightly beaded shawlette that features a lacy pattern resembling traditional Greek scroll motifs. Knit from side to side, Eurybia's shape is achieved by
simple increases and decreases, without the need for long cast-ons or bind-offs.
Eurybia requires 300-325 yards of fingering weight yarn. Hazel Knits recommends: Artisan Sock, Entice MCN, Divine or Piquant Lite, each of which has 400 yards. You can find those yarns here.
Gauge is 24 stitches over 4 inches. It is knit rather loose with the
fingering weight yarn for a lovely drape.
Additional materials: US 7 (4.5mm) 24-inch circular needle.
Size 6/0 seed beads (250 ct.) are optional. You'll also need 5 stitch markers and a 1.0mm crochet hook if you use beads.
About the Designer, Melissa Goodale:
